The Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission was established in 2003 by the passage of the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act. According to the organization's website, the establishment of the KACC has been an important milestone in the fight against corruption in Kenya. The first Director and three Assistant Directors formally took office on the 10th September, 2004.
